What a Webby Honoree Recognition Taught Me About the Power of People-Forward Leadership™
Mar 31, 2026
I didn't set out to win an award.
When I developed Delegation Strategies for People Leaders, a course now available on LinkedIn Learning in partnership with Madecraft, my singular focus was solving a problem I had watched derail good leaders for years. The inability to let go, trust their teams, and lead at the level their role actually required.
What happened next I didn't see coming.
Carol Parker Walsh Consulting Group has been named a Webby Honoree in the Creators: Best Thought Leadership category at the 30th Annual Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). Out of nearly 13,000 entries submitted from all 50 states and over 70 countries worldwide, our work placed in the top 25% globally.
Past Webby honorees include globally recognized names such as NPR, NASA, Michelle Obama, Google, Vote.org, Greta Thunberg, Simone Biles, and Dr. Fei-Fei Li, among others.
Hailed as the "Internet's highest honor" by The New York Times, this recognition means more than a title. It's validation that the conversation around human-centered, people-forward leadership has moved from a niche to a necessity.
Why Delegation? Why Now?
Delegation is one of the most misunderstood skills in leadership. Most leaders know they should do it. Few do it well. And the cost of not delegating, burnout, bottlenecks, disengaged teams, and stalled growth shows up in organizations every single day.
The leaders I work with across transit, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and nonprofit sectors aren't failing because they lack intelligence or drive. They're struggling because no one ever taught them how to transfer trust, develop their people, and lead beyond their own capacity.
That's exactly what Delegation Strategies for People Leaders was built to address. And that's the heart of People-Forward Leadership™, the belief that when leaders grow, organizations transform.
What This Recognition Really Means
Being recognized by the Webby Awards places this work alongside some of the most innovative digital content in the world. But more importantly, it signals something I've witnessed firsthand with every client engagement: leaders are hungry for content that is practical, research-informed, and deeply human.
The era of leadership development that checks a box is over. Today's leaders want frameworks they can actually use. They want to understand themselves, their teams, and the ecosystems they lead within. They want to grow, not just perform.
This Webby Honoree recognition affirms that People-Forward Leadership™ is a message the world is ready for.
A Word of Gratitude
None of this happens without partnership. A heartfelt thank you to Madecraft for their production excellence and collaborative spirit in bringing this course to life. This recognition belongs to both of us.
And to every leader who has engaged with this content, shared it with a colleague, or taken one idea back to their team, thank you. You are the reason this work exists.
Ready to Lead Forward?
If you haven't explored Delegation Strategies for People-Leaders yet, now is a great time to do so. The course is available on LinkedIn Learning and is designed for managers and executives ready to lead at the next level.
Because the best leaders don't do it all. They develop people who do.
